Visiting our local growers
From field to table: our tour of three local growers
Over the past few weeks, our team visited three local growers who supply us daily: Floriant Robert et Fils, Le Maraîcher A. Barbeau et Fils, and Potager Riendeau. Three stops, three different approaches, but one shared commitment to quality.
Floriant Robert et Fils: green and yellow bean specialists
On site, we were able to follow the production line up close, from sorting to packaging, and see just how carefully every step is designed to preserve the product's freshness.

Le Maraîcher A. Barbeau et Fils: right in the lettuce fields
We walked directly through their iceberg and romaine lettuce fields, which was impressive to see, even though our visit didn't coincide with the harvest. We could see the vigour of the fields, a sign of rigorous work throughout the season.

Potager Riendeau: packaging, right in the field
Here, we witnessed a process that made an impression on us: lettuce and celery being packaged directly in the field, which reduces handling and keeps the vegetables as fresh as possible.

Staying close to our growers
These visits bring us closer to our local producers and help us better understand the work behind every product. Stay tuned to our social medias: an Instagram video will follow for each of the three farms we visited.
